If there is only one word to describe Heather Ruby, it's consistency. Since becoming the Vixens champion at Battle Fever in December, Heather has become the gold standard for work-rate champions in UNW, showcasing incredible heart and resiliency in all of her subsequent matches and her title defense at Beauty of Annihilation was no exception. In a riveting bout with Aphrodite, Heather managed to emerge victorious once again, holding a near-spotless record since becoming champion. Despite how close these matches are, Heather always puts herself in a position to place herself ahead of the pack and remain champion regardless of how dangerous her challengers are.
With her victory over Halsey Neel, it can no longer be disputed that Chrystil Ypres is one of the very best in all of UNW. After having a historic Vixens title reign ended at Battle Fever, she remained perfect heading for her next goal: the Women’s World Championship and when faced against such a dominant force like Halsey Neel, Chrystil persevered and became world champion for the first time in her career. The future of Stampede lies in her hands and if her rise these past few months is any indication, the future should be bright with Chrystil at the top.
This week’s rising star goes to Joseph Quinn! Ever since he made his return, he’s not pumped the brakes at all! Joseph Quinn has shown time and time again why he deserves even greater success with his spectacular performances! This week, he charged head-on in two matches within a singular night, knowing the risk it would have on his health! He’d earn this spot by claiming victory against Myles Barnett and Logan Irons alongside Elian Beckham, then going on to fight through whatever pain he endured in that match to face the ferocious Anakin Aleksander! Joseph had made tremendous progress since returning and it can only go up from here.
Halsey Neel’s defense of the Women’s World Championship against Chrystil Ypres would main event the second and final night of Beauty of Annihilation, bringing two chapters in Halsey’s and Chrystil’s stories to an end. While Chrystil looks to take the Women’s World Championship, Halsey’s incredible second reign with the championship has come to an end in the most climatic way imaginable. Both champion and challenger had gone neck and neck the entire match, with one of the most relentless final offensives from Chrystil required to keep Halsey down and force the dominant champion to tap out. An incredible bout that is more than deserving of the top spot this week.
Jordan Perkins has tried time and time again to prove that he is, in fact, not afraid of Anakin Aleksander in the slightest, but seems to always fail in his presence, regardless of how tired Anakin is! Following the climax of Joseph Quinn versus Anakin Aleksander where Anakin was seen as the victor, Jordan Perkins would make an appearance to the surprise of many! However, also to the surprise of many, Jordan Perkins would cower in fear when Anakin turned to look at him, preventing his attack. Not only that, but Anakin forced Jordan to stand up, trying to get Jordan Perkins’ hopes high prior to Hunger Games… Which failed as Jordan looked to hit Anakin and Anakin caught his hand. Even when Anakin Aleksander’s leg is in jeopardy, he still finds a way to push through as if he were some kind of monster! Will Jordan Perkins overcome this monster and achieve his first taste of World Championship glory at Hunger Games? 👀Who Knows?!
Daniella Mason and Victoria Helsing took it to another level, making things even more personal when Victoria mentioned the fact that Daniella hasn’t even held her own child for quite long! These two were at each other's throats and we loved every second of it. Makes me wonder who will walk out of this match on top, truly makes you think!
After failing to defeat Drake Pierce and reclaim The North American Championship, Nathan Parker has turned up the heat! He hands Eden Wesker his first defeat, then valiantly and honorably plays a big role in why his team won in The All Star Tag Team Match. His hard-working ethic seems to be paying off and I’m sure he will be doing much more in the future.
Always underrated, ever underestimated, Jamie Valdez once again proved her status as one of the best at Beauty of Annihilation, defeating and dethroning the Intercontinental Champion, NINA. Recovering from a rough start to the season, Jamie has rebounded in a big way through her championship-winning team with Lynx Nightingale and the formation of CHAØS and as it stands, looks to make a strong final charge into Endgame season as the Intercontinental Champion and a key member of a dangerous alliance.
Following a close, yet dominant victory in Manhattan, Daisuke Ugaki has proved time and time again why he is The Heritage Champion. His hard-hitting maneuvers and style of wrestling has rightfully earned himself a spot in the honorable mention. By the looks of his victories against Fletcher LaSelle and Jessica Doechii, it doesn’t seem like he’ll be done anytime soon.
